My dealer's service shop refused to do the carb. modification. My dealer will go by Suzuki specifications only.
I wound up finding a local independent shop do work on my bike. I never did have the white spacer removed, but he tweeked up the bike when I got a new exhaust. No burb on shutdown at all, just some when I release the throttle between shifts. The character of the bike is getting better and better.
Like WD says, regardless of amatur or outlaw, I think we all have a healthy suspicion of dealers and thier mechanics
